Decided to start a new character based on some old book cover art by Robh Ruppel. The character reminded me a lot of Molly Millions from Neuromancer, one of my favourite William Gibson novels. I started a traditional sculpt of her a long while ago, but never properly finished it. My portfolio was in desperate need of some female anatomy - here is the first set of WIPs!

Also started a female sculpt (woot woot) based of a book cover by Robh Ruppel, an awesome old school painter. Will post that sometime as well.

New commission I finally got around to starting, here's a couple of the progress shots of the face and armature. He will stand a massive 24 inches tall. Already set a key in the waist. Keys will also be at the arms and separating one leg at the crotch. I'll worry about baking it when the time comes....

Here's what I handed in for my final layout. Pretty happy with it; still missing a couple tentacles in the back behind Conan as well as some details I would have liked to refine a bit more on Conan himself. Thanks everyone for the critiques along the way, I definitely feel like I improved a lot on this one.

An avid Conan fan painting out of Hawaii just posted his build and paint up of my "Snake-Slayer Conan" sculpt. He's a real enthusiast, and matched the original 2D art by Bisley as closely as possible, adding real metal earings and the broken chain ornaments hanging from Conan's belt. He posts under the moniker Warhead.
